Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the recruitment of 33 District Sports Officer (DSO) posts under Advertisement No. 90/2025. Online application window opens on 02 September 2025 to 26 September 2025. The salary for a BPSC District Sports Officer is base on Pay Level 9. The basic pay ranges from 53,100/- to 1,67,800/- per month. The in-hand salary, which includes various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA) , House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance (TA) is expected to be between 60,000/- and 72,000/- per month.

Education Qualification Details

 
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) District  Sports Officer (DSO) Recruitment 2025 To be eligible for the  BPSC District Sports Officer recruitment, candidates must meet following criteria:
  1. Educational Qualification :
  • Bachelor’s Degree :  Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university in India.
  • Sports Coaching Diploma : Candidates are required to have a Diploma in Sports Coaching in the relevant sport from one of the following institutions:
  • National Sports Institute run by Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (Sports Authority of India)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC) from Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior.
  • A Central Sports University or any other sports university by the UGC or Bihar Sports University.
2. Sports Achievements: Candidates must have one of the following sports achievements:
  • Represented the country in a recognized international competition (e.g.,Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games).
  • Represented the state in a National/International Championship.
  • Participated at least twice in All India Inter-University/Recognized Junior Championship/National Youth Championship.
  • Participated at least three times in Inter-Services Competition / All  India Police Games/ Inter Railway Championship.
